Who we are. Clovelly AB, Sweden, makes Odolo. Contact: support@odolo.app.
In short. Odolo has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your logbook stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, where we can’t see it.
Your logbook
Odolo logs your drives and keeps what you add to them, along with your places, your cars and the details your reports need. It is stored on your iPhone and synced through your own iCloud, and we have no access to it. Odolo makes your reports on your iPhone and you send them yourself. Delete everything in Settings erases it all, from iCloud too once your iPhone is online.
Location and motion
Odolo asks for your location Always, so that your drives are logged even when the app is closed. It uses your location, your iPhone’s motion and whether your iPhone is connected to your car to tell a drive in your car from a walk, a bike ride or a bus. This is worked out on your iPhone.
What leaves your iPhone
To Apple. Odolo uses Apple’s map service to show maps and to turn where a drive started and ended into addresses. To suggest what a drive was for, it may use Apple Intelligence, on your iPhone or on Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, which is given place names, times and distances, never your location or your name. If you share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple sends us anonymous crash reports. Apple handles all this under its own privacy policy.
To our push relay. When a drive starts while Odolo is closed, the app asks our small server to start the drive’s Live Activity on your lock screen. It sends only the code Apple needs to reach your iPhone and proof that the request comes from a genuine copy of Odolo, nothing about you or the drive. The relay stores nothing. Its short log, kept for a few days to keep it running, has neither your IP address nor your location. It runs on a hosting provider acting for us.
Subscription
Apple sells the subscription and takes the payment. We never see your payment details, and Apple’s reports to us carry no names.
Legal basis and how long we keep it
Where we handle any data, the relay’s requests and the emails you send us, we do it to provide the app you asked for (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and to keep the relay working and safe from abuse (Article 6(1)(f)). The relay’s log lines go after a few days. We keep support emails as long as we need them to help you.
Your rights
You can access, correct, erase, restrict, move or object to the use of your data, and complain to your data protection authority: Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY) in Sweden, Datatilsynet in Denmark or Norway, or the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland. Your logbook is on your iPhone, so you can see, change and erase it there. For anything else, email support@odolo.app.
Children
Odolo is made for people who drive for work and claim mileage, whether they run their own company or are employed. It has no accounts and no age limit beyond its App Store rating.
